Yaoh News

Yaoh In The News….

Recently, The Times ran a review of all the Natural Sunblocks on the market, & the Yaoh SPF 30 was rated in the Top 5, which was pretty impressive. To see the review, click here

And even more impressive, the Yaoh Shower Gel was rated 17 out of 20 by Ethical Consumer, ahead of every other brand in the UK!!!!

Ethical Consumer is very stringent with its rating & shows no mercy, so we are particularly chuffed with that one!

See here for more about their ratings or buy a copy of their September issue, now available.

Price Rises

In amongst all the good news, there had to be some bad – a few of our products are going up in price…..

Namely the Yaoh Aftersun and Body Lotion (from £6.95 to £7.95), all the Yaoh Lipbalms (from £1.95 to £2.35), The Yaoh Protein Powder 454g tub (from £12.95 to £13.95) and the Yaoh Hemp Milkmaker (£59.95 to £69.95).

These prices are coming into effect as from now, and are mainly due to increased transport costs as well as rises in raw materials. Sorry about that….we aren’t intending to make any more price rises in the foreseeable future.

Upcoming Shows….

There’s an interesting looking vegan evening in Birmingham on Oct 2nd, organised by Midlands Vegan Campaigns – click here for details

And the big Christmas do in London, the Christmas Without Cruelty show, organised by Animal Aid, is coming up on Dec 2nd – always an excellent event and one where everyone seems to meet up who’s interested in the Vegan Lifestyle. More info

This awesome little outfit is still going strong after 44 years of Feeding the Hungry without Exploiting Animals.

The collection for Vegfam at the BVF 07 raised nearly £100, which was great, but not a huge amount. We are continuing to collect for Vegfam and invite all of you to consider donating, either as a one off or on a regular basis. To read more about Vegfam, visit here and to donate directly to them, click here

Local News

Last meet, next meet…
Bristol Vegans enjoyed a superb BBQ at the end of August on a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon up in Lockleaze at Ellen and Jools’ house. Everyone brought loads of food and it was splendid. Beanie’s very kindly provided some gert lush FRY’s products to put on the barbie, and we drank loads of Grolsch too which was brilliant. Thanks to all who came, and keep an eye out for the next meet sometime this month here

Local guide from Viva!
