Bristol Vegan Fayre 2007 – over 9,000 people at the show

The Bristol Vegan Fayre 2007 was held over two days in central Bristol in early June, and over 9,000 people were there to witness the Worlds biggest vegan event.

The atmosphere was sublime and with over 140 stalls, more than 60 talks and demos, two stages plus a huge range of other entertainment including headline band The Beat (who tore it right up) there was something for everyone. A superb effort by the stewards, security, stallholders, organisers and contractors ensured a completely trouble free weekend for all, and a massive shout out to all our sponsors and supporters for their whole hearted support.

This awesome little outfit is still going strong after 44 years of Feeding the Hungry without Exploiting Animals.

The collection for Vegfam at the BVF 07 raised nearly £100, which was great, but not a huge amount. We are continuing to collect for Vegfam and invite all of you to consider donating, either as a one off or on a regular basis.

And on a sad note…

Many will have already heard about the sad death of Neil Lea, who died in early July.

Neil was a true vegan campaigner and was at a number of the Bristol Vegan Fayre’s over the years, as well as countless other events, festivals, protests and shows. Neil will be missed by many of the vegan community throughout the UK, and especially by his wife Mary, his son Seamus and his mum Doreen. To read more about Neil, please visit here
